スポーツについて問う問題とは
TSSTでは、１０問の設問に各４５秒で回答をします。１０問のうち、たまに１問くらいは「スポーツについて問う」問題が出題されます。
「スポーツについて問う問題」の設問例
・一つスポーツを選んで試合のやり方を説明してください。
「スポーツについて問う問題」の対策として、スポーツを何個選んでおいて、説明できるようにしましょう。ピンポイントにある特定のスポーツを説明するような問題は出題されませんので、ご自身の好きなスポーツをいくつか選んでおくと良いでしょう。オリンピックの競技や季節などを指定される可能性がありますので、可能な限り特徴の異なるスポーツを選択して準備しておくことをオススメします。
実際に解いてみよう
「スポーツについて問う問題」などのスピーチは、ルールなどを淡々と述べる形式になりますので、特段論理構造は必要ないと思います。
第三者目線で説明するより、聞き手を主語（youを使う）にした方が話しやすいかもしれません。
「型」をあらかじめ用意しておいた方がスムーズかと思います。
① 何について話すかを述べる（ex.〇〇について説明します。）
② 目的を述べる（勝ち負けの基準） (ex.多く点を取った方が勝ち。)
③ 選手の人数（ex.１チーム１１名で試合をする。）
③ どうやったら勝ちか
④ 最後に結論を述べる
では、実際に回答してみます。私なら以下のような回答をします。今回は、「一つスポーツを選んで試合のやり方を説明してください。」という質問に回答したいと思います。
①Today I’m going to talk about soccer. Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world.
②The aim of soccer is to score more goals than your opponent team in 90 minutes which is split up into two halves of 45 minutes.
③Two teams play in one match. Each team consists of 11 players. These are made up of one goalkeeper and ten field players. Players are not allowed to use hands except goalkeepers. Goalkeepers can touch a ball when they are in their penalty area. Players wear a same uniform except a goalkeeper in order to distinguish your team’s players from the opponent team’s players.
④When the ball go into your opponent team’s goal, you get one point. To win the game you have to score more goals than your opponent team.
⑤These are the basic rules of soccer. Soccer is a really complicated sport. There are more rules. If you are interested in soccer, you should learn more.
実際にこの文章を考えながら４５秒ですべて話すのはかなり難易度が高いと思います。しかし、暗記していれば、４５秒くらいで回答が可能だと思います。

「目標」 ： aim
「相手チーム」 ： your opponent team
「に分けられる」 ： be split up into
「〜で構成される」 ： consist of 〜, be make of 〜
「〜が許されていない」： be not allowed to 〜
