好きなものを問う問題（自己紹介系の問題）とは

TSSTでは、１０問の設問に各４５秒で回答をします。１０問のうち、最低１問は「好きなものを問う」問題が出題されます。

「好きなものを問う問題」の設問例

・あなたの好きな国はどこですか。その理由を教えてください。
・好きなスポーツ選手の名前を一人挙げてください。また好きな理由を教えてください。
・好きな雑誌、本は何ですか。それはどんなものですか。

実際に解いてみよう

自己紹介などのスピーチは、結論、理由などの述べる論理的な回答ができないものの、ある程度で「型」持って臨むべきです。

例えば、以下のような「型」をあらかじめ用意しておくとスムーズに会話を作ることができます。

① 結論を述べる（ex.私は〇〇が好きです。）
② その理由を述べる（ex.過去に〇〇に行き、とても楽しい時を過ごした。）
③ 補足するエピソードやエビデンスを挙げる（ex.〇〇に行って〇〇と出会いました。）
④ (時間があれば)２と３を繰り返す
⑤ 最後に結論を述べる

論理的な回答を求められる設問とは異なり、理由を論理的に述べることはできません。その分、具体的なエピソードや事実など述べることで内容を膨らませると良いでしょう。

では、実際に回答してみます。私なら以下のような回答をします。今回は、「もう持っているものを友達からもらったらどうしますか？」という質問に回答したいと思います。

①If my friend give me something which I already have, I may or can not tell her the truth. I may say thanks to her and receive it as if I don’t have it. This is because I don’t want to hurt my friend’s feeling. I think my friend takes time and thinks a lot for choosing my present, so I think that why this situation occurs. I mean my friend thinks about what I like and selects what I want, and that cause the situation that she give me a present which I already have.

②If the present which she give to me is useful to have two, I may use two of them. For example, if my friend give me clothes, I can wear them on different days. If the present is a stationary, I can use one of them at home and the other at office.

③If having two of them is meaningless, I will sell the old one at a secondhand store or by flea market apps such as Mercari. I want to keep the one which my friend gives to me. I think nobody knows about it, but I don’t want to feel sorry, so I keep the one which I’m given even if the new one can be sold at a higher price.

④By the way, I don’t think this kind of things won’t happen, because there are millions of things are sold in the world, and I don’t think my friend chooses the very thing I already have.
