好きなものを問う問題（自己紹介系の問題）とは

TSSTでは、１０問の設問に各４５秒で回答をします。１０問のうち、最低１問は「好きなものを問う」問題が出題されます。

「好きなものを問う問題」の設問例

・あなたの好きな国はどこですか。その理由を教えてください。
・好きなスポーツ選手の名前を一人挙げてください。また好きな理由を教えてください。
・好きな雑誌、本は何ですか。それはどんなものですか。

実際に解いてみよう（英会話）

自己紹介などのスピーチは、結論、理由などの述べる論理的な回答ができないものの、ある程度で「型」持って臨むべきです。

例えば、以下のような「型」をあらかじめ用意しておくとスムーズに会話を作ることができます。

① 結論を述べる（ex.私は〇〇が好きです。）
② その理由を述べる（ex.過去に〇〇に行き、とても楽しい時を過ごした。）
③ 補足するエピソードやエビデンスを挙げる（ex.〇〇に行って〇〇と出会いました。）
④ (時間があれば)２と３を繰り返す
⑤ 最後に結論を述べる

論理的な回答を求められる設問とは異なり、理由を論理的に述べることはできません。その分、具体的なエピソードや事実など述べることで内容を膨らませると良いでしょう。

では、実際に回答してみます。私なら以下のような回答をします。今回は、「時代遅れだなと思うものはありますか。」という質問に回答したいと思います。

①Many people in Japan have become to think that paper documents and name stamps are outdated since the spread of Corona virus. This is because people have to go to their office in order only to put seals on documents. I agree with this ides. And I think Japanese people use paper documents because they have to put a seal. Therefore, if people don’t need to put a seal, paper documents will also become unnecessary things. I’m going to explain why I think this way.

②First of all, paper documents and name stamps are inconvenient. People have to go to the place where documents and stamps go. Usually personal name stamps are store at home and corporate name stamps are at office, so people have to go there in order to put a seal.

③Secondly, I don’t think name stamps are not secure. It is really hard for other people to identify if they are fake or original. Even if they can, it is impossible to judge who put a seal on a document, because there is possibility the other people put a seal.

④For these reasons, I think paper documents and name stamps are behind the times.
